Our Story
Guardian Decommissioning was built on a simple belief: offshore decommissioning could be done better.
As aging assets across the Gulf reached the end of their productive life, the industry faced a growing challenge—how to safely retire infrastructure, manage costs, and restore the environment without sacrificing quality or accountability. Too often, these projects were fragmented, reactive, and burdened by inefficiencies.
Guardian was created to change that.
From the beginning, we set out to be more than a service provider. As a full-service operating company, we bring every phase of decommissioning under one roof—planning, execution, and restoration—creating a more streamlined, controlled, and accountable process from start to finish.
Our team combines deep technical expertise with a collaborative mindset, working alongside operators like BP to solve complex challenges with precision and discipline. We lead with safety, operate with integrity, and focus relentlessly on delivering cost-effective solutions that don’t cut corners.
But what truly defines Guardian is our commitment to leaving a lasting positive impact. Every well we plug, every asset we retire, and every site we restore is an opportunity to raise the standard—not just meeting expectations, but exceeding them.

We are a small team doing massive work. Since we work smart AND hard we are able to accomplish the big task of decommissioning with the small, tight group of talented people we have.
It is important to us that we give back to our employees. We see how much they give to us, their dedication to each project and all the behind the scenes work. We know without these amazing people, none of this would be possible.
We are extremely please to know we are providing a work environment where people want to stay and it is our priority to continue to improve the standards of the workplace as we do the standards of offshore decommissioning.
At the end of the day we care, and part of our responsibility along with responsible decommissioning, is to honor the people who give so much to us anyway we can.
